Bassano del Grappa is his birth town and the first stage of his journey.

After finishing his agricultural studies in Padua, he attended a master’s course in 1987 taught by Attilio Scienza in San Michele all’Adige (TN), which allowed him to learn first-hand, thanks to an internship, about different production realities in many parts of Italy including Montalcino.

Thus began his adventure in Tuscany, which should have lasted a few months, but now more than thirty years later has not yet ended. In the early days, he worked for Soldera (Case Basse), then for Poggio Antico, and finally landed at Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona, a company that he led by the hand from 1988 to 1996, achieving real satisfaction in the world market.
